Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty corrects defects, deformities, and disfigurations of the eyelids; and for aesthetically modifying the eye region of the face. A blepharoplasty procedure usually is performed through external surgical incisions made along the natural skin lines (creases) of the upper and the lower eyelids, which creases then hide the surgical scars from view.

For the treatment of excess skin and/or orbital fat usually upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty are indicated. Whereas  blepharoplasty is usually an aesthetics procedure, it can sometimes be done for medical reasons, especially when it resolves functional problems of the periorbita, which is the area from the eyebrow to the upper portion of the cheek. The blefaroplasty is more common among women, but in Vremya Krasoty men also often become patients.

Endoscopic forehead lift is perfect for lifting sagging brows. This prominent endoscopic technique utilizes several smaller incisions in the scalp to tunnel beneath the forehead and 'release' the brows. The sagging brows along with the skin of the forehead are then shifted upwards and resuspended in a more youthful position. No skin is needed to be removed.

Lifting of temporal part in other words lifting  the tail, and not the central eyebrow is rejuvenating, minimally invasive, and a more favorable procedure for forehead rejuvenation. It leaves the middle of an eyebrow alone and elevates the tail of your eyebrows which are close to temples.

Traditional upper blepharoplasty is one of the most minimal invasive surgeries, and in Vremya Krasoty it is perfomed most often then other types of blefarosty. This simple ans very efficient surgery shows immediate results andit has the minimal post operatory period when the adequate care, recommended by Vremya Krasoty beauticians is applied. It is performed with local narcosis without the need for sedation.

Traditional lower blepharoplasty is a technique when an incision is made in the skin just below the eyelashes. The skin is lifted, exposing the membrane that holds the three lower-lid fat pads. This membrane is penetrated, exposing the fat pads. It is the artistry of medicine. Finally, a 2- to 4-millimeter strip of excess skin is removed. It is the pure form of medical artistry, especially when performed by Vremya Krasoty doctors.

Transconjunctival blepharoplasty: the cut is made inside the lower eyelid, usually with an electrocautery. A portion of the fat pads is removed. The advantages of this technique are as follows: no visible scars and possibly a lower chance of lid pull-down, and the drawbacks are the wrinkles and sags don’t disappear. That is why this procedure is only recommended to younger patients with bulging fat and no extra skin.

Lipofilling is one of our most common reason for performing revision lower eyelid surgery is palpable and visible lumpiness from prior fat injections. Many of the revisions are minor.

Contouring eye injections is done mostly by beauty physicians and it is recommended to correct or diminish drooping eyelids, bags, appearance of dark circles or sunken areas under the eyes and in the tear trough.

Botox injections can be put underneath the eye to help with those lines as well as the small bags that form under the eyes. A small quantity of botox (1-2 units) is placed in the area where the bags are. This should really only be done when the crow's feet are being treated wtih Botox at the same time, otherwise the effect will be minimal.

A blepharoplasty operation usually requires 1–3 hours to complete. Post-operatively, the initial swelling and bruising will resolve with 1–2 weeks; the final, stable results of the blepharoplastic correction will become clear to view after several months. The results of a blepharoplasty procedure are best appreciated by comparing pre- and post-operative (before-and-after) photographs of the eye section of the patient.
